Every once in a while, something happens in our schools that reminds us just how powerful connection, mentorship, and leadership can be. This year, that moment came in the form of multiple L.E.A.D. graduation ceremonies held across our elementary schools — and at the heart of each one stood Officer Kinner.

The L.E.A.D. (Law Enforcement Against Drugs and Violence) program equips 5th-grade students with essential skills in leadership, decision-making, and self-awareness. But what makes this program exceptional in Evesham is the man who brings it to life.
Officer Kinner, a member of the Evesham Police Department since 1985, leads the program with a unique blend of bold honesty and deep compassion. At each graduation, he didn’t just deliver a speech — he shared his story. He opened up about real-life challenges, connected with the students on a personal level, and created a space where they felt safe to share their own experiences.

It was powerful. It was moving. And it went far beyond what you might expect from a classroom program.

Though the Evesham Education Foundation is not directly involved with L.E.A.D., we were proud to attend and witness the lasting impact this experience has on our students — and the vital role Officer Kinner plays in guiding them. His commitment to our community and its children is nothing short of inspiring.

To Officer Kinner: thank you. For showing up year after year. For leading with courage and kindness. For helping shape the next generation of leaders in Evesham. And of course — bravo on the cartwheels! 👏

We salute you.
