In June 2025, the Evesham Township School District formally renamed the long-running CAPPS program in honor of one of Evesham’s most dedicated champions: Larry Kull.

For decades, Larry shaped the lives of thousands of children through his unwavering support of the Evesham Education Foundation — as a founder, board member, advocate, and friend. His belief was simple, powerful, and deeply human: Every child deserves the strongest possible start.

Today, that mission lives on through the KULL Coordinated Arts Program for Primary Students, better known as KULL CAPPS — a four-week summer program designed specifically for incoming kindergarteners who need an extra bridge between preschool and the start of their academic journey.

A Program Built on Love, Readiness, and Creativity

KULL CAPPS integrates art, music, creative dramatics, foundational literacy and math skills, social development, and hands-on learning — all designed for young learners who benefit from additional readiness support before kindergarten.

The focus areas include:

    • Social and emotional readiness
    • Oral language development
    • Gross and fine motor skills
    • Foundational literacy and math
    • Confidence and independence
    • A welcoming first experience with school

It’s a real-world extension of Larry’s legacy — offering warmth, support, and opportunity to students right at the moment they need it most.

What Teachers Are Saying

“On the first day, some have trouble separating from mom or dad, but by the second week those same children walk in ready to play and are learning they can do it! I’m so proud to be part of such a wonderful program.”
“KULL CAPPS provides a gentle bridge to that first big school experience. Students build confidence and readiness skills through exploration, songs, games, and working together.”

What Parents Are Saying

“Almost instantly we saw a change in our son… As an incoming kindergartener who had only been homeschooled, it was the perfect fit to prepare him for the transition to school. The teachers created such a warm and welcoming environment.”

Honoring a Legacy That Lives On

The district proclamation renaming the program highlights how deeply Larry’s influence continues to shape the work of the EEF and support incoming kindergarten students as they prepare for school. KULL CAPPS is more than a summer program — it is an expression of service, generosity, and community care that Larry embodied throughout his life.

EEF’s Commitment

Thanks to community support, the Evesham Education Foundation continues to:

    • Fund KULL CAPPS
    • Provide materials and enrichment experiences
    • Support teachers who bring the program to life
    • Reach students who benefit most in those pivotal early weeks before kindergarten

A Legacy to Carry Into the New Year

As we close out 2025 and look ahead to 2026, KULL CAPPS stands as a beautiful reminder of what we can accomplish together:

    • When we honor the past, we strengthen our future.
    • When we invest in our youngest learners, we lift the entire community.
    • When we come together, the impact echoes for generations.

Thank you, Larry, for lighting the path. And thank you, Evesham, for helping us carry it forward.
